Students will be able to provide a rationale for teaching children about science and technology, and define those two terms. Students will be able to describe "inquiry"-based learning and the "discovery" approach as they are defined in this text. Students will be able to state the implications of the National Science Education Standards, Project 2061, and the sex role stereotyping of science careers for their teaching.
