Chapter 6: Assessment of Understanding and Inquiry Students will be able to contrast traditional and authentic assessment techniques. Students will be able to state the general recommendations of the NSE Standards regarding assessment and give examples for putting the standards to work in the classroom. Students will be able to compare and contrast "Authentic Assessment," "Traditional Assessment," and the assessment implications of the NSE Standards regarding assessment.
