The Meanings of Color

This exercise raises questions about the meanings colors communicate and focuses on ways advertisers and marketers use colors to influence our perceptions of a product. The color spectrum presented below, with numbers from 1 to 25, will help you identify the colors you select for the objects noted below.

Assume that you are working for an advertising agency and that your task is to select colors for the various objects listed below. For each object select the major color as well as the secondary colors you would use in its packaging. Record these in the spaces provided by selecting the numbers corresponding to the colors of the spectrum.
