Objectives

By the end of this chapter, students will be able to:

1. List 10 kinds of occupational information needed to make informed career decisions.

2. Distinguish between the various Computer-Assisted Career Guidance Systems mentioned in this chapter.

3. Apply the components of the ACCUATE model to evaluate occupational information.

4. Evaluate the usefulness of sources of occupational information.

5. Discuss ways in which human service professionals can use One-Stop Career Centers when assisting clients with career-related concerns.

6. Illustrate how they would introduce the concepts of job shadowing and informational interviews to their clients.
