Objectives

By the end of this chapter, students will be able to:

1. Analyze the barriers to career success for people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

2. Design a career intervention program for people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

3. Choose the most appropriate resume style for use with people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

4. Assist people with physical and/or mental disabilities in achieving their goal of long-term employment and self-sufficiency.

5. Identify ways in which human service professionals can advocate for those with physical and/or mental disabilities.
