By the end of this chapter, students will be able to:

1. Analyze the barriers to career success for veterans who are reentering the civilian workforce.

2. Design a career intervention program for veterans who are reentering the civilian workforce.

3. Choose the most appropriate resume style for use with veterans who are reentering the civilian workforce.

4. Assist veterans who are reentering the civilian workforce in achieving their goal of long-term employment and self-sufficiency.

5. Identify ways in which human service professionals can advocate for veterans.
