  • American Academy of Religion
    This is a professional association of teachers and researchers of religion dedicated to facilitating an academic understanding of religious traditions, values, issues, and questions from both secular and ecumenical religious perspectives. This site is as a good resource for locating academic programs in religion, finding out about researchers working in specific topic areas, and learning about conferences and activities sponsored by this association. There are links to scholarly organizations that could also prove helpful.

  • The Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics
    The purpose of The Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics is to promote reformed theology and apologetics through biblical teachings from the perspective of Calvinism. Within the context of providing resources from one doctrinal system of belief, this site includes articles and discussions on social issues from a biblical perspective, including topics such as Christianity and science, Christianity and education, as well as creedal and doctrinal documents, books in hypertext, and other related materials.

  • Cult Awareness & Information Centre--Australia
    This is a comprehensive resource dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of cults, ritualism, and spiritual abuse. It provides access to online, full-text articles covering a wide array of topics such as psychological issues, false memory syndrome, theological issues, the occult, world religions, personal narratives with former cult members, and leaving a cult. You can also find information on different types of cults and cultism such as psychotherapeutic, biblical, eastern, political, and new age cults, and links to other resources. If you can’t find the information you are seeking here, it probably doesn’t exist.

  • Index of Religious Links
    This is an excellent site dedicated to increasing religious understanding and tolerance, awareness of current topical religious issues, and exposing fraudulent religious information. There are over 1,000 online essays that provide detailed information on most major world religions, cults, paganism, and Satanism. The essays are organized categorically (with suggestions for which to read first within certain categories), making this site easy-to-use and highly informative.

  • Judaism and Jewish Resources
    This annotated directory of Jewish Web resources lists sites of general interest or indexes that track particularly interesting sites on Judaism and the Jewish world. You can link to news and media sources, reading lists, museums and exhibitions, Jewish studies, holocaust studies, archaeology, the state of Israel, Chassidic teachings and Jewish learning, and links serving the Jewish community. This is an interesting, informative, and well-organized resource.

  • Religious Resources on the Net
    This is a comprehensive, searchable database of religious and Christian Internet sites. There are over 180 topics indexed here and an internal search engine. Resources are organized by categories which include art, bibles, music, organizations, directories, virtual communities and discussion boards, publications, general references, and topical issues.

  • Religious Studies Electronic Library
    This is a direct link to the University of Waterloo Library’s quick facts and bibliographies in its religious studies section. The strength of this site is access to an online Catholic Encyclopedia and a link to a site providing a glossary of religious terms.
