This web site provides a number of reading and study aids for Early Childhood Language Arts, Fourth Edition. For each chapter, you will find a listing of Chapter Objectives. You will also find Practice Test Items to think about during and after you have completed your reading. You can use the questions to help assess and review your knowledge of the material covered. Items that cause difficulty are indications of topics needing review or clarification.

Internet links to Recommended Web Sites are also noted for each chapter. Clicking on the link, which you will see highlighted in blue, will take you to the Web site.

The To Literacy Through Literature section included with each chapter explores various tools and methods of teaching literacy to children, and by following the guidelines offered in the Observing and Reflecting activities you will have the opportunity to explore the subject matter independently.
