Teacher Interview - Lesson Planning

Directions:

This assignment is designed to engage you in the practice of talking to teachers about teaching methods and support media in order to help you develop your own ideas about how to teach in your own classroom. As you gain classroom experience, your ability to create good lesson plans will improve. The best teachers are always looking for and finding ways to improve teaching and learning.

Interview a teacher about s/he develops, evaluates, and modifies their own lesson plans and teaching methods. Compare your notes of the planning process with the steps of the DID model. In 1-2 pages, describe the methods used by the teacher and identify their strengths and weaknesses when compared to the DID model.

Be sure to inquire what technologies are used to support the instruction and why that particular technology was selected.
