Chapter Objectives

After completing the study of Chapter 7, students should be able to:

1. Specify the data needed to answer the research questions and/or address the hypotheses;
2. Identify the sources from which the data can be obtained;
3. Identify the method of selecting a sample (if necessary);
4. Select appropriate procedures for collecting data;
5. Identify the most appropriate tools to be used for data collection; and
6. Specify the form in which the collected data will appear.
