Training in Communication (ITC) This is the former Toastmistress and offers
members tips on leadership and speaking skills, particularly in business situations. At http://www.itcintl.com/ go to Training or Finding a Club to view basic info about this organization and its membership.
- Speaking
Circles offer a supportive environment to talk for up to three minutes and to focus upon
listening to one another in a comfortable manner. This site at http://www.speakingcircles.com/index.html offers a “free teleclass to become a master speaker.” Also click on “Take our free stage fright quiz” to rate yourself. According to this site, “Effective public speaking is simply a series of one-on-one conversations. Master that and you will speak with ease and power, any time, anywhere."
- Toastmasters
International offers
local clubs for learning about speaking in an incremental manner. There are
speaking manuals and opportunities for members to give one another feedback. Association for Women in Communications offers support groups and sponsors
