- National Center for Educational Statistics
This site, provided by the National Center for Educational Statistics, gives students an opportunity to answer math and science questions from the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). The students can choose the 4th or 8th grade level, can choose the type and number of questions they would like to receive, and can then see how their answers ranked among the world.
- North Central Regional Educational Laboratory
An article copyrighted by the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory outlines some good suggestions for incorporating assessment in the math classroom. The author, Jean Stenmark (1991), provides good suggestions for specific assessment practices in math, including performance assessment and math portfolios.
