35.2 Recognizing Incorrect Comparitives and Superlatives

I agree with the critics who think Martin is the most unique filmmaker of his generation, but the superlatives are becoming tiresome. The young journalists are the most worse. We were just supposed to accept that Martin’s very first film was “more edgier.” More edgier than what? His video of his senior prom? Then, when his second film was released, the critics all fell over themselves trying to be the most entirely fulsome. Now, they claim his third film is the more perfectly arty. What next? Martin is only at the beginning of his career. What will the critics say when he creates his most greatest work in the future? Praise will be most impossible: all our superlative expressions will be very dead.
