Building on their success with The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook, Joshua Piven and David Borgenicht published a book focusing on dangerous travel. Presented in a similar format, the travel book will prepare readers to tackle almost any crisis. In my opinion, the best section is "Getting Around." If you are trapped in a car hanging over a cliff, Piven and Borgenicht suggest the best way out. They advise that if the rear of the car is hanging over the edge, you may have more time to escape because the car's weight is concentrated on the land. If the front end is hanging over the cliff, you need to escape quickly, but without sudden movements. Leave by the front doors if they are over land. The rear doors are more dangerous escape routes, even if you move carefully to the back.
