What are the standards for evaluating literature? Chapter 7 discusses a variety of different standards and the motives and histories behind some of the most common ways of evaluating literature. At the root of this discussion is an attempt to apprehend the ways in which literature can be measured, and the ways in which literature can defy such measurements.
