Chapter 2 introduces you to basic library procedures, including strategies for searching for information in print and electronic sources. When you complete this chapter, you should be able to do the following things:
- Locate book in a card catalog, including an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)
- Carry out a search on the Internet
- Search a commercial database
- Evaluate sources you find, whether in print form (e.g., in a book or magazine) or electronic form (e.g., on the Internet)
