Chapter Summary

Chapter 10 illustrates the basic forms used in documenting sources in a research paper in APA style. When you complete this chapter you should be able to do the following things:

  1. Write the basic APA forms for books and periodicals;
  2. Locate information and examples for citing sources that call for more complicated citations than the basic forms;
  3. Know how to cite a source parenthetically in your paper; and
  4. Understand the differences between APA and MLA style.
