Welcome to the Companion Website for Good Reasons (3rd Edition) by Lester Faigley and Jack Selzer. This site is designed to provide both instructors and students with additional resources to aid in teaching and learning the content material on argumentation in the textbook. Good Reasons introduces the developing writer to the strategies necessary for constructing persuasive arguments in the academic setting. The Companion Website complements the textbook and helps students develop into competent and confident writers able to analyze and construct a wide variety of arguments.
The Instructor Resources section features sample syllabi and annotated Web links that relate to text materials and provide useful information about teaching argumentation in writing. The Student Resources section features pages devoted to each Good Reasons chapter and provides a wide variety of materials to assist students with their course work. The resources for each chapter include a brief chapter summary, annotated Web links for that chapter's material, a quiz, and exercise sets that underscore the information about argumentation and academic writing that students should master.
