Sentence Practice 1

Identify each item as either a run-on sentence or a correct sentence.

1 .       The medicine chest is an important part of any home, you don't need to spend a lot of money to keep it well-stocked. 

 
 


2 .       One of the most basic items in the medicine chest isn't normally considered a medicine at all it's usually found in the kitchen cabinets. 

 
 


3 .       Baking soda can be used in a number of ways. It can be a deodorant, a salve for mosquito bites or poison ivy, a toothpaste or a mouthwash, or an antacid. 

 
 


4 .       Tea can also be used to soothe bites or sunburn it should not be used on a serious burn. 

 
 


5 .       Another kitchen staple that can do double duty is vinegar; mixed with water, it can be used to relieve "swimmer's ear."
