Dear Ms. Darwell:

audioPlease consider my application for Fox 45’s Kids’ Hour production assistant position.

audioDuring my senior year at Boston College, I interned for the Emmy-winning children’s program Zoom. Through the internship I learned not only the technical skills necessary to produce a weekly, hour-long show, but the finesse required to manage an all-child cast.

My experience as the producer of All the News also gave me intensive training in the skills of a successful producer. Under my direction, a staff of fifteen crewmembers and reporters regularly broadcast creative campus news pieces. Because I produced this weekly show for three years, I would need little initial supervision before being able to make significant contributions to Kids’ Hour.

After one year at Zoom, I want to continue production work in a audioposition that offers more responsibility in the field of children’s television. My work at Zoom, particularly my authoring and producing a series of spots to teach children Spanish, has given me hands-on experience in creating the kind of innovative television for which Kids’ Hour is known.

audioThank you for considering my application. Enclosed is my résumé. I would be happy to send my references if you wish to see them. You can reach me at (719) 555-0405 or c.popolo@hotmail.com. I look forward to speaking with you about the production assistant position.

Sincerely,

Christian Popolo
