Clean Up Towering Pines (or Not)! A Newspaper Editorial |
|
The Hammond Courier is a weekly paper that tends to act as a booster for local businesses and their economic interests. While most of Hammonds residents read the New York Monitor for national and international news, the Courier is their primary source for local news.
The editors of the Courier provide these instructions for residents writing guest editorials and articles for the op-ed page:
The Hammond Courier is proud to be the voice of record for the Hammond community. For more than sixty years, this paper has reported local news, supported the growth and development of the community, and published the opinions of many local residents. Were pleased that youre considering writing for us. Please keep in mind that guest editorials and opinion pieces should be no more than 1000 words, and that they should be written to address the entire Hammond community.
