Creating a Web Site: A Tutorial |
Getting Started |
Rachel Jones decides she wants to include a picture of a humpback whale. She remembers that the search engine Lycos has a gallery of images that can be copied legally. She switches to the Navigator window and searches for "humpback whale" on the Lycos site at http://www.lycos.com. Up pop two thumbnail images of humpback whales from the Alaska Division of Tourism. She views a full-size image that she likes by clicking on it, then copies it.
To insert this saved image into her page, Jones goes to the Insert menu and then selects Image. She clicks on Choose File, finds the image file on her computer, then clicks OK. She also remembers to include the caption giving credit for the picture. She wants to distinguish the caption from her text, so she selects Font under the Format menu and picks Helvetica. She reduces the type size from 12 to 9 points.
