- compare the state court system and its judges to the federal court system,
- discuss the role of private arbitration as an alternative to the judicial system,
- describe the role of the appellate and supreme courts, and the Judicial Council,
- discuss the process of selecting and removing state judges, and
- describe the role of the governor and the voters in the judicial branch.
