Instructor Resources
Welcome to the Instructor Resources section of the Companion Website for Dialogues: An Argument Rhetoric and Reader, Fifth Edition. This section of the Web site includes the following:
- Instructor Links feature general and specific online sources particularly relevant to the teaching of argument
- Theme and Background provides a thematic overview of each chapter followed by 5-8 links that provide background information and supplementary material to augment instruction.
The student section of the Web site provides the following resources:
- Chapter Objectives that describe the goals and themes of each chapter
- Chapter Activities and Online Readings featuring skill-building, reading, and writing activities relevant to the chapter
- Reading the Visual activities that tie into the chapter's themes
- Web Destinations providing Internet links connected to the theme(s) of each chapter
In addition to these features, the student section also includes resources designed to help your students prepare arguments and persuasive essays:
- General Writing and Researching Resources provide annotated links to online resources
- Online News Resources with annotated links to online newspapers, magazines, and journals
