      6. Every summer Anna took a week-long vacation with her parents to a cottage at the beach, and she left her husband home. That must be why he has asked her for a divorce.

      7. Adam is attending the university on a football scholarship. To talk to him, you would think he was an intelligent, serious student rather than a college athlete.

      8. Drinking coffee is as good as exercise. It wakes you up, keeps you alert, and revs up your heart. You can do both with good company, and neither costs much.

      9. Land developers are only interested in making a profit and exploiting our natural resources. They have no respect for the environment, and express their disdain for tree-huggers.

      10. To ensure good luck, Maria follows the same daily routine. First, she rings the doorbell twice as she leaves her house. Next, she walks around her car two times before getting in. On her way to work, she always listens to the theme to Backdraft, and then hums a Lenny Kravitz song as she climbs the stairs to her office.

Answer choices in this exercise are randomized and will appear in a different order each time the page is loaded.
