      2.     1Because nicotine is habit-forming, kicking the smoking habit takes time. 2Half of the battle in quitting is knowing you need to quit. 3This knowledge will help you deal better with the likely symptoms of withdrawal, such as irritability and an intense desire to smoke. 4A number of quitting methods are available, including nicotine replacement products (gum and patches), but there is no easy way. 5Nearly all smokers have some feelings of nicotine withdrawal when they try to quit. 6Give yourself a month to get over these feelings. 7Take quitting one day at a time, even one minute at a time— whatever you need to succeed.
