The Basic Facts About Your Weight 1You've heard the claims: "Lose weight while you sleep. 2Lose 30 pounds in 30 days. 3Eat anything you want and still lose weight." 4However, products and programs that promise quick and easy weight loss are bogus. 5Reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is based on three basic facts. 6First, to lose weight, you have to lower your intake of calories and increase your physical activity. 7Second, the faster you lose weight, the more likely you'll gain it back. 8Experts recommend a goal of about a pound a week. 9Third, to maintain weight loss, health experts suggest that you eat nutritious foods, cut your intake of calories and exercise more. 10Be skeptical about products that claim they will keep weight off you permanently. —"Amazing Claims."
