Tips for Getting a Good Night's Sleep 1If you have trouble getting a good night's sleep, the following three tips may help. 2First, people who exercise sleep better. 3Most who exercise for 30 minutes four times a week fall asleep faster and sleep longer. 4Exercise at least two hours before bedtime to give your body time to relax after exercising. 5Second, certain foods affect sleep. 6Avoid caffeine and nicotine; both are stimulants. 7On the other hand, bananas, cottage cheese, turkey, tuna, and calcium help the body create sleep hormones. 8Finally, calming habits lead to peaceful sleep. 9Use relaxation techniques: Breathe deeply, and tighten and relax each muscle. 10Take a warm bath, and go to bed at the same time every night. Main idea: If you have trouble getting a good night's sleep, the following three tips may help.
