1. Open a search tool such as AltaVista or Infoseek. 2. In the search box, type the name of an author about whom you want information. 3. Choose phrase searching if it is available. If not, put the name in quotation marks. NOTE: By typing "Nicholas Negropante" into the AltaVista search box, we found hundreds of columns in Wired magazine written by Negropante. In addition, we found biographies, book reviews, speeches, interviews, and photographs. We learned that Negropante is the director and founder of MIT's MediaLab. |
