3.11 (p.61) Examples of revised thesis statements.

An effective thesis statement defines a specific topic and makes a strong point about it. It’s a good idea to have a working thesis statement about a topic when you start drafting your essay. Ask yourself the following questions to evaluate your thesis statement:

1. Does the thesis define a specific topic? The following graphic gives some examples of poor and revised thesis statements.
