1. On your computer, open a document in which to store your invisible writing. |

2. Close down any other open windows or applications on your computer. (You do not want to lose valuable data if you accidentally hit the wrong key.) 3. Turn down the contrast or turn your monitor off altogether, thus making your writing invisible. There should be several buttons across the bottom of your monitor that you can press to adjust the contrast and/or brightness. 4. When you have finished freewriting, turn the monitor back on and read what you have written. You may have several misspelled words and typos, as in the example below, but that’s okay because freewriting is for you, not for an audience. You can easily go back and correct them. |
