Almost any word can serve as an interjection, because an interjection is more
a functionan exclamation or hesitation noise within a sentencethan
it is any particular word or set of words. However, some words commonly serve
as interjections, having few or no other functions. Some of these words, with
their correct spellings, are listed below.
