4.1 (p.66) Thorough introduction to the writing process.

The University of Victoria Writer’s Guide is a comprehensive site on the different stages of the writing process, grammar, and style.

To get more details about specific subjects, click on the subject headings. For example, if you click on "Essays" you will be taken to another page with more headings about essay writing, such as types of essays, thesis statements, narrowing your topic, and organization. If you scroll down the topic list, you’ll find "The First Draft". Click on this to be taken to an explanation of drafting.

One convenient feature of this site is that if you want to read more about a topic within the drafting explanation, you can click on the hyperlink. For example, if you want to learn how to draft a catchy introduction, you can click on "Introduction" and you’ll be taken to that page.

At the bottom of each screen there are links to take you back to the main menus, so if you get confused about where you started you can simply go back to the main topics page by clicking "Start Over."
