4.5 (p.73) How other writers overcome writer’s block.

Every writer, whether novice or professional, experiences writer’s block at some time or other. The Suite 101 Web site has a list of links to other sites that give suggestions from famous and not-so-famous writers on how to overcome this frustrating part of writing. For example, one link called Dissolving Writer’s Block provides tips, including “Shake off ‘Imposter Syndrom’.”

Everyone communicates, and a lot of people write, but few people dare to call themselves "writers." If you feel like an impostor, take a deep breath and remind yourself of your unique purpose and how important it is. Or take on a fictional persona and write through that mask.

Another link leads to Black on White, an online writing group that allows you to post your work to get feedback from fellow writers, or to critique other writers’ works. This is a good place to go if you are having trouble writing, because you can work with others to find out what works best for them when they write.
