Information on the Internet. There is also an extensive glossary
that clearly defines technological terms. The menu bar across the
top of the page allows you to easily move around the site to find
the tutorials that are most useful to you.
Another site from the Office of Library Media Services is the Anatomy of a URL includes basic definitions about URLs.
You can follow the "Quick Click Guide" at the top of the
page to get tips on interpreting and dissecting URLs, which are
important skills to have in order to evaluate the usefulness and
credibility of a Web site. You can also access a list of other
useful sites that provide tutorials on understanding URLs.
