5.4 Refining Hypotheses

Hypotheses offer starting points for research, allowing the researcher to begin somewhere, even if that beginning needs to be modified later. They allow the scientists to discover whether their theories actually work. The sites listed below offer pointers in formulating a hypothesis so that you can get started with your research.
