4.11 Team Role Theory

Team role theories are popular in many workplaces. Managers (often with the help of consultants) try to determine the “types” of people who work for them. Then, they adapt projects to take advantage of the strengths of each person in the team. Each person takes on a role that fits their personality and interests. We profiled Meredith Belbin’s team role theory in Technical Communication Today. But others are available. Here are Websites that discuss Belbin’s and others’ theories.
