Chapter 5: Ethics in the Technical Workplace |
|
Professions and organizations often have codes of ethics: lists of basic ethical values that members of the profession or the organization are supposed to follow in their work. These codes are written specifically for different kinds of work. The Center for the Study of Ethics and the Professions at the Illinois Institute of Technology offers a comprehensive list of ethical codes. In addition, we've provided some specific examples. Finally, the EthicsWeb link offers advice on how to create a code of ethics.
