"Alcaics In Exile: W. H. Auden's 'In Memory Of Sigmund Freud'"
Among many other reasons, W. H. Auden was an important poet for the ways in which he sought to revitalize the art of versification after the Modernist revolution in poetic form. This extremely informative essay, by Rosanna Warren, looks for an explanation of Auden's choice of line and stanza in the poem "In Memory Of Sigmund Freud."

The W. H. Auden Society
This site claims that it will become "at some point in the future" the homepage of the Auden Society. As it is now, however, it is quite a good site, offering a bibliography of new and forthcoming books of interest, online versions of the society's newsletter, information on membership and on the society, and more. The newsletter archive itself contains much information on upcoming events, publications and recordings, essays on the poet and, when available, newly discovered works.
