Learn from History: Three Mile Island

Go to the Online Ethics Center for Science and Engineering, Follow the Cases link, then the link to The Three Mile Island Nuclear Accident. Read the sample case and follow all the links. For many of you, this accident isn't even a memory, while for others, it still resonates with vividness. In your group, discuss your reaction to the events described and how you would react to them now. How would you assign blame? How would you avoid the problem? Try to come to a group consensus.
