Lab Activity 15: Varying Your Sentences
 
Objective To vary your sentences.

Step 1: Extend the following sentences using coordination or subordination. The conjunction gives a hint as to how you should extend the sentence. An example has been done for you.

Example:
Coordination—yet: Some people love mystery stories.
Some people love mystery stories, yet others can't stand being left in the dark until the end of the tale.
Subordination—if: I can't put a good mystery down.
I can't put a good mystery down if it catches my interest from the beginning.
