Step 3: Read the paragraph below. Then, answer the questions that follow.
(1) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of the greatest music composers the world has ever known. (2) Even as a child, he was extremely gifted. (3) At the age of six, he performed before the Austrian empress, and he had started composing even earlier than that. (4) He had written an opera by the age of twelve, and he seemed to have no limit to his talent. (5) Judging from this impressive beginning, anyone would have thought that his career would be overflowing with appointments from royalty. (6) But his career turned out to be disappointing throughout his life. (7) Despite being well-known to the leading people in his society, he always seemed to believe that his talents were never properly appreciated. (8) Part of his problem was that he was a difficult person, creating many of his own troubles. (9) But his personal problems were eclipsed by his wonderful music. (10) He composed some of our most loved works within almost every genre: symphonies, operas, concertos, sonatas, string quartets, dances, serenades, and religious music. (11) Mozart's prolific musical production was finally cut short by his tragic death at the age of thirty-five.
