Objective To recognize and write regular verbs and correct verb tenses.

Step 1: In each item below, write a sentence using the specified tense of the italicized word.

Example:
Use the present participle cheer as a modifier.
The cheering crowd welcomed the home team.
Example:
Use the present progressive tense of help as a verb.
