Objective: To write a rough draft.

Step 2: Determine whether each of the following statements is true or false.


      1. A rough draft is usually not credible. 

 
 


      2. A rough draft is usually correct. 

 
 


      3. A rough draft is usually not clear. 

 
 


      4. A rough draft is usually concise. 

 
 


      5. If you are drafting on a computer, you should save your work often. 

 
 


      6. You should single-space your work while working on the computer but double-space it when you want to print a copy. 

 
 


      7. Drafting means writing just one version of your paragraph. 

 
 


      8. You should throw away your prewriting notes as soon as you write a topic sentence. 

 
 


      9. If you are drafting on the computer, you should back up your work on more than one disk. 

 
 


      10. Rough drafts are not perfect.
