Coordinating Conjunctions

Coordinating conjunctions are essential to constructing coordinate structures. A coordinating conjunction connects like structures, including words (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions), phrases, and clauses.

and, but, or, yet, nor, for, so
