This section, for the student, provides additional resources related to the textbook Essential Reading Skills. Included in this section are the following: Summaries: A general description of each chapter. Links: Annotated links to reading Web sites that provide additional information on the topic of each chapter. Internet Exercises: Reading skills exercises with related Internet links on chapter topics. Quizzes: Readings from college level textbooks that span a variety of disciplines including excerpts from history, biology, earth science, world cultures, and humanities. Interactive quizzes in multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, or matching format accompany each chapter. Reading Road Trip: An online tutorial of this popular reading software, now available in version 2.0. Mailing List: Periodic updates on materials relevant to the topical area covered by this Companion Web site is available via mailing lists.
