Organizing and Remembering Information
Chapter Summary

It is much easier to study for an exam if you have organized notes from which to study. In this chapter you will learn techniques for organizing textbook materials and for studying and reviewing this information. The five common methods for organization discussed in this chapter are (1) highlighting, (2) marking, (3) outlining, (4) mapping, and (5) summarizing. In addition to organizing textbook information, suggestions for immediate and periodic review are provided.

Examples, exercises and mastery tests will give you the opportunity to study and apply the strategies presented in this chapter for organizing and remembering information.
