Companion Websites are electronic resources for both the instructor and the student. They accompany specific textbooks and are free of charge. This section, for the student, provides additional resources related to the textbook Guide to College Reading. Included in this section are the following:
Summaries: A general description of each chapter.
Links: Annotated links to reading Web sites that provide additional information on the topic of each chapter.
Internet Exercises: Reading skills exercises with related Internet links on chapter topics.
Quizzes: Readings from college level textbooks that span a variety of disciplines including excerpts from history, biology, earth science, world cultures, and humanities. Interactive quizzes in multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, or matching format accompany each chapter, the fiction mini reader, and the reading selections.
Reading Road Trip: An online tutorial of this popular reading software, now available in version 2.0.
Collaborative Network: Chat Rooms and Message Boards are available for virtual classroom discussion.
