Each of the sentences in the following paragraph is written in the same basic sentence pattern. Thus, the paragraph is very boring. Rewrite the sentences, varying the structures to make the paragraph more interesting.

The police think the man committed the crime. They arrested him. They put him jail. They told him he could get a lawyer. They questioned him. The man went to court. The jury listened to the evidence. The man’s fingerprints were found at the scene of the crime. The police found the murder weapon in the man’s house. The victim had the man’s skin under his fingernails. The jury deliberated for two days. The jury found the man guilty. The man was sentenced to life in prison. The man was sent to jail. The man can not see his family. The man can not see his friends. The man will die in jail. Crime does not pay.
