For each of the following descriptive paragraphs, determine who or what is described and explain how you reached your conclusion.

This activity contains 3 questions.

She is always there for me no matter what. She loves me even when I have done something wrong. She was there in the beginning. She has seen me through it all: diapers, scraped knees, good grades and bad. I have called her many things, and not always nice things. But, now I am glad that one of the things I can call her is friend.

It is the center of it all. Decisions are made there. Disagreements are settled there. People show both their support and their distaste there. The decision makers reside there or at least work there for part of the year. People from all over the world visit there. The monuments and museums there are breathtaking and numerous. O’Keefe hangs there. Homeless people are too abundant to count there. There is lots of money there. There is extreme poverty there. One man is as safe as can be there. Crime is rampant there.

So tall and thin as to be almost unreal. So beautiful, she takes your breath way. She makes every article of clothing, no matter how boring or extreme, look like a million dollars. She makes you want what she has. She makes you want to look like her or to be with her. She is envied. She is despised. She is everything women want to be. She is everything women are afraid to be. She is what men desire. She is what men fear. She sells.
